Music Fans Love Google+

Music fans might flock towards Google+ when it opens up to the public and leave Facebook behind. While Facebook is an excellent platform for sharing music, it lacks in some areas. Google+ might be late coming into the social networking market but it could make waves in the music front.

Google+ can make meet and greet sessions possible through its Hangout feature. Google has the budget to invite celebrities to do exclusive concerts for the fans. The company can record these interactions and archive them on YouTube. Speaking of YouTube, it has become the home of live online music events. These concerts could be held in Google+ in the future, with lots of interaction happening in real time.

Facebook likes its users upload photos and videos but it doesn’t have an option for music uploads. Google has its own Music Beta and its engineers can easily incorporate it into Google+. Google engineers could make music collection searchable on Google+. This could be a way to find like-minded people. Music streams will allow people to listen to other users’ music.

Google+ has a lot of advantage over Facebook. One of which is that Google owns a mobile operating system. Its engineers could probably figure a way to use Android APIs to integrate Google+ and music apps better than Facebook.
